Yo’lRefTrans JSC was established in 1978 as an independent structural unit within the administration of the Central Asian Railway. The depot is located in the city of Syrdarya. The depot area covers 33.48 hectares.

Since 01.07.1997, the freight wagon depot at Khavast station (WCD-3) was included in the refrigerated depot structure. Since 01.01.1999, the Syrdarya refrigerated depot was incorporated into the Tashkent–Cargo wagon depot according to railway order. From 01.07.2000 to 01.07.2001, the Syrdarya refrigerated depot operated within the Tashkent Railway Freight Transportation Directorate.

Yo’lRefTrans JSC was established on the basis of the refrigerated depot at Syrdarya station, according to Order No. 121-N dated 15.06.2001 issued by the Chairman of the State Joint-Stock Railway Company “Uzbekiston Temir Yollari”.

Yo’lRefTrans JSC is registered with the State Tax Inspectorate of Syrdarya District under identification number 200325998, and is also registered with the statistical authorities of Syrdarya District under No. 1239, based on Decision No. 634 dated 27.06.2001 by the Governor of Syrdarya District, I. Erbekov.

Capital repair of rolling stock

Execution of planned depot and capital repair tasks for all types of rolling stock.

Production and additional services

Manufacturing of spare parts and consumer goods, and provision of household, коммунal and transport services to generate additional profit.

51% of shares belong to the state and are transferred to the assets of “Uzbekiston Temir Yollari” JSC (11 162 528 shares).

2% of shares belong to the workforce and employees of “Uzbekiston Temir Yollari” JSC (437 746 shares).

Foreign investors

47% of shares are owned by foreign investors (10 287 035 shares).

Stages of corporatization
In 2003, an announcement was published on the website of “Uzbekiston Temir Yollari” JSC regarding the sale of a 47% stake in Yo’lRefTrans JSC. The authorized capital was set at 21,887,309 thousand UZS. Nominal value per share is 1,000 UZS.

Under the share purchase agreement No. 2605 dated 18 December 2007, between the State Property Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the consortium represented by “Shindong Enercom Inc.” (Republic of Korea), with participation of Yo’lRefTrans JSC and “Uzbekiston Temir Yollari” JSC, the consortium became the main foreign shareholder and partner.

As part of investment obligations, the Korean company supplied 200 wheelsets, 2 lathe machines, and 30 computers.

In 2009, the company achieved a profit exceeding 9 billion UZS, representing a 200% increase compared to the previous year.

A new management, marketing, and accounting system is being implemented. The company holds its niche in the railway transport market, maintains stable economic performance, and has strong development prospects.
